Thank you to everyone who came out to serve veterans in need with Renovation Alliance during the 3rd Annual Veterans Renovation Day! Despite the rain, we had a fantastic event and nearly 200 volunteers completed critical and necessary home repairs for 8 veterans and their families. The projects completed include the construction of an accessible ramp, a deck repair, two accessible bathroom modifications, ceiling repairs, and lots and lots of painting! We had originally planned for 16 projects to take place during the event, but the bad weather made it impossible for some of the projects to go on. These projects will be rescheduled.
A large grant from The Home Depot Foundation made this event possible as well as our larger effort to serve veterans and their families. Funding from The Home Depot Foundation is enabling Renovation Alliance to tackle major home repair concerns for 21 low-income veterans and surviving spouses. This fall, over 400 volunteers will serve with us on these home repair projects. If you would like to join our effort to give back to veterans and their families and ensure their ability to live in a safe and healthy home, please e-mail Eric@renovateall.org to discuss volunteer opportunities or consider making a donation by visiting www.renovateall.org/donate.
